I have taught courses on many topics over the years, with titles like "Global Cinema," "Theories of Literature and Social Justice," "Digital Humanities," "New Brown America: Race and Identity in the 21st Century," and "Toni Morrison: an American Storyteller." In recent years, I have occasionally converted materials that might be of broader interest into prose essays and posted those on my blog. In a few cases (i.e., Toni Morrison, Claude McKay), I've also used my teaching notes and lesson plans to develop public-facing web resources.

Some of these teaching notes have found quite a few readers. My explainer on Spivak's "Can the Subaltern Speak?" was written to help introduce the essay to graduate students in a "Theories of Literature and Social Justice" course in 2023. According to my tracker, it has been read more than 50,000 times as of September 2026.
