Desiblog is reporting that the Hindi film Kaho na pyar hai is going to be distributed in Latin America dubbed into Spanish, under the title, Reencuentro con el Destino.
It seems like a winner to me. In fact Hindi films would probably do better in Latin America than they do here in the U.S. There's more of a taste for melodrama, and generally less aversion to kitsch there (at least, I think so, judging from Spanish TV). I wonder if anyone has thought of using movies with A.R. Rahman songs, since they often have a bit of a Latin flavor?
